For a smaller casino, they have an excellent variety, including a solid buffet, 24-hour cafe and a great steakhouse. The restaurants in Golden Nugget are our favorite. Everyone is accommodating and friendly, from the staff at the concierge check in to the servers at the restaurants. The only downside to staying at Borgata is that it’s located on the marina, so you don’t have direct access to the beach or boardwalk. Borgata offers modern, comfortable rooms that have been renovated within the past few years. The drink service is okay, but the comps here are horrible and not worth the trouble. Resorts has a decent variety of slots and table games. The nicest area of this casino is Margaritaville and the outdoor bar, but other than that, the atmosphere here isn’t very lively. The rooms can be noisy and will sometimes smell like pot. Spins issued as 50 Spins/day upon login for 10 days. Spins are non-withdrawable and expire 24 hours after choosing Select Game. Spins issued as 50 Spins/day upon login for 20 days. Most of the time, these facilities will be within walking distance of the casino floor. Each of the casinos has a hotel connected with the venue, though you’re welcome to look to other nearby hotels if you want to get away from the casino facilities. Renovations to the casino have been made rather recently, but it still feels pretty cramped inside. The beds are super comfortable and the bathroom makes you feel like you’re in a spa. They also have a Top Golf inside, which is very unique for a casino. You will need to sign up for an Ocean players card to get that deal, but it’s worth it as the food is delicious. Distrito has a really great happy hour, with $2 tacos and $2 margaritas every day from 1 pm – 5 pm. You can get a lobster for $19.95 and they have some of the best Brussels sprouts you’ll ever have. Caesars is on the Boardwalk, a middle-tier resort with more than a dozen restaurants, two showrooms, and another gaming venue, Wild Wild West, on its lower level. The casino features a huge poker room (by far the biggest in AC), over 2,500 slots, and more than 150 table games. Located in the Marina District, Borgata is the flagship casino of Atlantic City, a luxury resort destination with more than a dozen restaurants. Its hotel is perfect for budget-minded travelers, with a number of nightlife options including live entertainment Bally’s Showroom and The Yard for drinks and dancing. Bally’s is on the Boardwalk and the casino boasts over 1,100 slots and about 80 table games. Here is a brief rundown of what you’ll find at each of the nine casinos in Atlantic City. Must be 21+ and present in MI or NJ to play. The slots do feel a bit looser than some of the other casinos though, so you can play for longer with less money. You can order drinks from your machine but are required to play max bet to get a free drink if you play video poker. One complaint is that it tends to be pretty smoky in the building, even if you try and avoid the smoking areas. Owners changed hands multiple times before the doors were opened, but when building construction was completed, Ocean became the second-tallest casino in the U.S., trailing only The STRAT in Las Vegas. If the electronic scene is more to your liking, you’ll also find more than 5,500 slot and video poker machines at your disposal. Borgata hosts daily World Series of Poker tournaments and high-stakes games, and it runs its own sportsbook (Race & Sports Book) for those looking to make a sports wager. On the gaming side, you’ll find a 161,000-square-foot casino floor covering virtually every casino game you can think of. One minor complaint is that the restaurants can get a bit crowded, so you can wait a while to get a table. Our favorites are their buffet, Italian and sushi restaurants. You might see homeless people asking for change or really drunk people that are getting out of hand. They also seem to be pretty lax on security in this place. They are not very accommodating, so don’t expect anything above and beyond the bare minimum. They also have a good buffet with really nice decor. Everyone that works at Harrah’s is very nice and accommodating. One big plus for Harrah’s is their comps, especially for hotel rooms.
